With the kit you increase the friction surface by a whopping 40%, from 2,080 mm2 to 2773 mm2.
In combination with the supplied springs you can build up a very powerful clutch. Problems can then only occur on the mechanical strength of the clutch. If you want to be on the safe side and like to let the clutch fly, you should directly install a reinforced basket.
The Polini set contains the cork, steel discs and reinforced springs. Due to their lower height the clutch facings fit into the standard clutch without modification.
Before mounting the clutch facings it is recommended to let the cork plates bathe in oil for one night. This will prevent the pads from running dry when the clutch is started for the first time and the service is stopped.
A good tip is a Teflon outer cable with our braided inner cables.
As lubricant we recommend the BGM Pro Street gear oil (BGM2025, complies with specification API GL-3).
